Who We Are
Hello everyone, my name is Anna Mastroianni, and I am the proud owner of SOLE Shoes. We are celebrating our 24th year as part of this wonderful downtown community. Our story began in 2001, with a specialization in unique, imported Italian shoes for children. We quickly expanded our collection to include women's and men's footwear, and since then, we've had the honor of welcoming customers from all over the world.
To create our one-of-a-kind selection, I travel to Italy twice a year and personally hand-pick the latest, most fashionable styles from small, family-owned factories that have been perfecting their craft for generations. It is from this deep collaboration that we developed our very own SOLE brand line for men, women, and children.
We believe the right shoes can walk the moments that are most meaningful to you. Our shoes have been on stage at the Met, walked the red carpet at the Oscars and Emmys, and gone to countless weddings, communions, first days of school, and important job interviews. They've been the very first shoes for precious steps and have kept toes warm and dry during winter months. Our shoes have made people feel confident and comfortable in their everyday lives.
Knowing your story and having your trust is my greatest motivation. When I'm buying, a customer’s face will often flash in my mind—"Oh, Nicole would love that," or "Paul is due for a new pair of black dress shoes." It's that personal for me. It's also why we are so proud to be located in the historic Arcanum Hall, contributing to the positive appearance of our downtown.

We've been named the Best Shoe Store in New Jersey by several publications and are proud to have our unique shoes featured in numerous fashion magazines.Our greatest honor, however, comes from our customers. As they often tell us, it’s not only about the amazing selection, but the service that keeps them coming back. Their trust means everything to us. As a community, we are truly come uno—Italian for "as one"—and we'd like to thank our SOLE family and welcome new members with a little gift.
